New on the Stage Door 'Pop On Demand' imprint is this superb collection of Petula Clark's 'First Hits in Stereo', with new mono to stereo mixes by renowned sound engineer and producer Ted Carfrae.

This CD compilation celebrates Petula's very first hits which featured in the British Sheet Music Chart; 26 songs as you’ve never heard them before in new mono to full stereo remixes. The running order of this compilation is determined by the date in which the sheet music title debuted in the British Sheet Music chart between 1951 and 1962. The collection includes stunning new remixes of Petula's signature first hits including 'The Little Shoemaker', 'Alone', 'With All My Heart', 'Sailor' and 'Romeo'. As a bonus track, the album concludes with a previously unreleased live 1950 recording of Petula's first entry on the British Sheet Music Chart; 'Tennessee Waltz'.

'First Hits in Stereo' is presented in a super glossy full colour 6 panel digipack with an accompanying booklet, including previously unpublished photographs. The booklet includes liner notes by producer Ted Carfrae, who has been making records for almost 50 years, detailing how he achieved the process of creating these new mono to stereo mixes, essentially breathing new life into recordings made seventy or more years ago. This album is a perfect example of what Ted does in his mission to discover and bring classic material into the 21st century.

Ted Carfrae has worked with so many legendary artists including Julie Andrews, David Cassidy, Paul McCartney, Ella Fitzgerald, Sheena Easton, The Carpenters, Cilla Black and of course, Petula Clark. Ted hopes that you will enjoy these brand new stereo versions of Petula's First Hits.
