This unique
Anthony Newley collection compiles the original concept recordings from three self penned movie musicals. The semi-autobiographical film
'Can Heironymus Merkin...' has gained cult status since its 1969 release and features an exceptional score by Newley and Herbert Kretzmer. Newley also performs the songs for
'Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory' the 1971 family favourite composed with Leslie Bricusse. The album concludes with Newley's recordings for the 1974 film 'Mr,
Quilp' a musical adaptation of Dickens' 'Old Curiosity Shop' in which he played the title role. All these recordings are previously unreleased and have been restored from Newley's own private archive.
